My Garden in Bloom
Yarn Club 2025
As many of my regular followers know, I had taken a break due to bad mental and physical health conditions. My happy place was my garden where I found healing, peace and tranquility, whatever the weather. With the help of my husband and children I totally transformed my garden from a few bushes and tall hedges to pet friendly shrubs, plants, flowering trees and beautiful flowers all that are bee 🐝 , pollinator 🦋 and wildlife friendly. I have self seeding, fruit 🍎 bearing and nature loving plants 🪴 and different flowers that bloom throughout the year. As you know I love colour 🌈 so I opted for the brightest most colourful plants possible.
For one of my yarn clubs in 2025 I have chosen the theme of My Garden in Bloom. Every month from January, you get to pre order a skein (or few) of one of my plants/shrubs/trees that are currently in bloom for that month. I will hand dye my own interpretation in your choice of wool or plant fibre base in a dk or sock 4ply weight. I will dye two different colour-ways and you can choose to receive just one or two colours (save 15% for both). Colours will not be told in advance but previous years plants are in the main photos to give an idea. There will be a variety of colours dyed throughout the year with no colours to be repeated.
Yarn bases will be:
Wool
75% superwash merino & 25% nylon
dk 225m per 100g / 112m per 50g
sock 4ply 425m per 100g / 212m per 50g

What is Tencel?!
Tencel fibres are created from the pulp of sustainably harvested eucalyptus trees. This pulp is dissolved and spun into fibres which are woven together to create an extremely strong but smooth yarn. The ultra fine structure means that it is gentle on the skin and a great fibre to wear which drapes beautifully. It is highly absorbent and it's natural high shine silky smooth finish makes it kinder to the skin than cotton or wool. It's also eco-friendly and biodegradable.
What are Neon Neps?!
This Donegal nep yarn is a bit special, the Neps glow in the dark under Ultraviolet light. Our Donegal nep yarns are high twist with non-dyeable Donegal neps, they resist the dye remaining prominent in the yarns. This yarn knits up into a lovely soft fabric with a nice drape. Available in 4ply and dk weights.

All will be hand dyed by Karina in her dye studio in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
These will be received in skein form, please remove all ties before winding.

Laundry care - Hand wash using warm water and a wool wash is recommended, do not use hot water, scented or strong detergents as these may make the yarn bleed a little colour or shrink your finished items. Do not tumble dry. Hang or dry flat. Please note that all yarn is hand dyed. Even though the same colours may have been dyed in the same batch, due to the nature of hand dyeing, please alternate between skeins for a larger project.
Colour may differ slightly due to screen resolutions. All items are hand dyed by me in my dye studio.
Stock readily available will be shipped within 5-7 business days once checkout is completed. All items within the UK will be sent by Royal Mail. Shipping outside of the UK will be sent tracked and signed. Pre orders and yarn clubs will be each have their own shipping dates - please refer to each listing.
